Patagonia
Patagonia strives to be a catalyst for change by leaving the smallest environmental footprint; while making shoes of the highest quality from the best materials in the world.
Patagonia footwear aims for simplicity with high functionality, whilst leaving the smallest footprint possible. To be eco friendly, Patagonia uses hemp, an often misunderstood crop. Hemp requires little water, no pesticides, and is very resistant to bacteria. Shoes made with hemp have little or no break in period, and breathe and smell better than those with synthetic materials. Hemp is used in laces, outsoles, and some parts of uppers.
Lastly, Patagonia uses EcoStep, a Vibram formulated compound that uses up to 30% recycled scrap rubber, which is abrasion resistant and provides great traction.
