Mizuno has several new updates to the new Wave Rider 15. The Wave Rider 14 had a significant fit change which was hit or miss. The 15 has reverted, and retains fit features and components that fans of the 13 can appreciate. The fit is greatly improved thanks to the removal of lace tabs, as well as lowering the ankle collar to match the collar of the 13. This "retro" fit should be an excellent update that fans of the Wave Rider have been anticipating for quite some time.
Two other changes to the Wave Rider are an addition of forefoot flex controllers, and the slight adjustment of the Wave Plate. This single fan Wave Plate has been moved just a touch higher within the midsole, which really improves the ride of this shoe.
The bottom line is that once again the Wave Rider is a go-to shoe for runners seeking a lightweight, flexible, neutral trainer once more.
