What is Revolution Running?
Revolution Running, formerly known as 'BoldRunning' is a running training club welcome to all levels of runners from beginners to seasoned competitors along Colorado's Front Range. Revolution Running is the official training club of the Boulder Running Company and the world renowned Bolder Boulder 10K Race.
Revolution Running's mission is to offer the highest quality coaching experience in an intimate group training environment at a great value to members. Hopefully you too will become part of the front range's biggest and best training club with 350 runners and multisport athletes who are part of the team!
Who is Revolution Running?
Head Coach and elite runner Ewen North has run since the age of 7, has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science, and has coached thousands of runners through coaching with Adams State College, the University of Nebraska, local notables, and since 2005 as director of RevolutionRunning. Together with his wife, Heather North who is an accomplished athlete and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Revolution Running is headed by two very supportive, driven, and skilled individuals. Ewen and Heather have also made sure that coaches who have background in successful running themselves and who can effectively work with others are in place. Revolution Running stops at nothing to make this club the best for its runners.
Training and Coaching Philosphy
In an area filled with overcomplicated training methods, Revolution Running is proving that with streamlined training ideas, team support, and a relaxed environment, that any runner can succeed.
Revolution Running proves that there is no "secret training schedule", and that old-fashioned fun and hard work can get you to your personal best. Training programs are simple and easy to follow, coupled with experienced coaches who will help guide you through regardless of your ability level.
Training schedule co-writer Mark Plaatjes is a world-renowned runner who held the Marathon World Champion title in 1993 and has won over 20 major marathons. Today Mark continues to run non-competitively and is the co-owner of Boulder Running Company as well as being a physical therapist at and owner of In Motion Rehabilitation in Boulder.
